In addition to providing travelers the chance to immerse themselves in each destination they visit, we help them enjoy local cuisines, inspired by local ingredients and created by some of Europe's most highly skilled chefs, as well as regional wines on board our ships.
With help from our top European chefs, we offer cruisers the dining experience they crave. Some of the highlights of our vast menu of dining choices include:- Giving cruisers a choice of appetizer, salad, entrée, cheese and dessert
- Featuring local fare options at each meal
- Highlighting sustainable cuisine on our French itineraries
- Providing cruisers more healthy menu options including low calorie, low sodium and glucose-free cuisine
- Introducing Night Fare, served at 10:30 PM to cap off each day with a treat

Avalon's inspired, 360-degree, engaging cruise experiences afford travelers the chance to immerse themselves into a destination and culture thanks to award-winning land programs and world-class guides. Our Egyptologists (along the Nile), Naturalists (in the Galápagos), Cruise Directors (in Europe Southeast Asia and China) and special guest lecturers also offer them a vast onboard educational program, giving cruisers the chance to soak in the history and culture of a region as they drift from village to village or island to island.

We have always provided river cruisers the most spacious staterooms in Europe. Our entire fleet features Avalon Deluxe Staterooms that are, on average, 15 percent larger than the competition. Now, with the introduction of our trio of Panorama-style Suite Ships, we're not only offering cruisers our award-winning Avalon Deluxe Staterooms, we're featuring newly designed 200-square foot Panorama Suites (30 percent larger than the average stateroom) and 300-square foot Royal Suites, offering cruisers even more room to relax and take in 360-degree views of Europe.
