About the Ship
The 112-passenger Viking Fontane sails along Europe's Elbe River on 10-day land/cruise trips between Berlin and Prague.
The ship, which was built in 1991 and fully refurbished in 2010, offers a restaurant, lounge and bar, sun deck, sauna, stair lift and laundry service. Cabins are equipped with private bathrooms, air conditioning, telephone and television. During the $2 million refurb, the line added 8 200-square-foot deluxe cabins with French balconies. The 48 standard cabins are on the small side -- 135 square foot -- but all have outside views.
