Rustic and hard to find but good for the price and wonderful locationPosted Oct 27, 2018 on HomeAway
This hotel is in a nice garden setting and we wish we'd have more time to birdwatch in the gardens and make use of the restaurant on site. Unfortunately we were in a rush due to family issues and couldn't make full use of the beautiful location and did not even get up to see the spectacular blue falls the place is famous for and the lodge is very close to. The lodge needs better signs or directions for getting there since the GPS and cell phone service is spotty so we found it difficult to find. However, we would not hesitate to stay here again as the price is good and the location beautiful. Elias was very helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate our needs such as arriving late in the evening. The area was good for birds, sloths, and rainforest and we did a neat Tree Chocolate tour between Bijagua and Upala.
