Some think of vacationing and imagine themselves sunbathing as they listen to the paradise breeze. But you would rather be shredding down daring mountains in the backcountry. Expedia is here to help to help you to plan out your next ski-cation. We have 2617 hotels in San Diego from $107 to $152. Whether you want to stay on the ski property, or you would rather find a resort in the city, we can help you and your family make reservations wherever you would like to be. If you'd like to see what our previous visitors have to say, there are 3077 reviews that you can scroll through.
Traveling with all your cold weather gear can be bulky and pricey, depending on your choice of transportation. If you forgot some necessary equipment, check out Dicks Sporting Goods or REI Store for boots, a coat, and other outerwear. They may have lower prices than the typical mountain rentals. After all the necessary purchases have been made, you and your gang will be ready to head to the top of the hills. Hopefully you will get to do some shredding on an epic bluebird powder day, or a morning when there's fresh snow on the ground. There's nothing more exhilarating than cruising down the mountains on the green, blue, or black diamond slopes. If you need some help as you start your shredding, check and see if there are any instructors available to help you get started, in case you want to avoid catching an edge.
Once you finish off a few days of skiing, you may want time to thaw out. Ask the hotel staff about any warmer activities in San Diego to help you warm up. There may be a few kid-friendly activities, such as checking out the local bowling alley or movie theater, playing board games at the hotel, or roasting s'mores over a bonfire. Maybe they can suggest a few kid-free activities too, such as a 21 and up club, a ski-in bar, or a spa on the hotel property. And when your night is over, you will have amenities in your hotel room that you can take advantage of, like a mini-bar or a movie. Book soon before those fantastic conditions and great rates melt away!
