The reception was the most helpful lady ever. The staff was very nice, this hotel was incredible. Food was amazing too. Beach was beautiful.

Hotel staff go above and beyond. During my stay Carlos at the bar was extremely friendly and so attentive always asking if I needed anything else. Hairo made the stay fun with his jokes and comedy. The only thing i find is that the snack bar should be open at least til midnight and not 7pm

The property was literally right on the beach, new updated rooms, great friendly staff. The only thing that could be a little better would be the food. Other than that, great property!

We only had two nights, but this was a lovely resort. They were updating stair handrails so there was the construction noise when it wasn't raining during the daytime hours. Food on the buffet was good, but the second restaurant was great, but you have to sign up before noon in order to get into the optional restaurant, and that is available just once for every three days you stay. Since we are not drinkers, I cannot speak to the bar, but lots of people seemed to be enjoying the inclusive wines and cocktails. The large lava rocks took up quite a bit of the beachfront, but for those who braved crossing the tidal surge to the south, there was a long beach that offered a nice walk. My husband enjoyed the gym, but our second morning there it was raining so hard that there were leaks all over the gym. There were iguanas, a raccoon, and a lovely cat that all were relatively social, with both the raccoon and cat meandering through the buffet dining area and the iguanas sunning near the pool! The employees were delightful, the room was clean, and we would go back if on the Nicoya Peninsula again. Driving to beaches south,, like Playa Negra and Playa Blanca, required going back to the northeast to go south and the roads were dirt, which meant mud in the rains at this time of year, and we had to get out and check the depth of the mud and make sure that there was a solid enough bottom for the rental car to get through. I would like to see the area during a different time of year.

They put us on the 3rd floor even after we told two different people one of us was on crutches and they wouldn’t change it. Room had dead bugs all over the dirty floor, no wash cloths, light bulbs were all out. All inclusive but only 1 restaurant and food wasn’t great. Closed for hours during the day, snack bar cold a lot the time. Sold so many day passes to locals who got drunk and threw people in pool, threw up on the beach and caused huge lines for food and caused them to run out of drinks that were supposed to be included in our package. WiFi cost money and could only be used in one small part of the resort. Staff was not friendly and if one bar ran out of something they would just decide to tell us the whole place was out instead of helping. No atm or exchange on site. Gift shop charged $35 for sun screen that was a product of Costa Rica. Raccoons EVERYWHERE. Showers randomly shut off. I realize it’s a diff country and some of this could be expected if we hadn’t paid the price for an all inclusive resort.

I had a great time overall in Costa Rica. My family really like it and we enjoy it!

This used to be a 4-star property... 10 years ago. This place is dated, very very dated. Front desk staff was friendly-ish, the restaurant staff was NOT! Their sad long face was just wow. Bathroom had hair, sink was clogged. No lighting through stairs to the room. The “all-inclusive” is a joke. No parking as advertised. We stayed for one night, fortunately. Checked out first thing in the morning. this is a 2-star property. Barely.

The beach location is terrible surrounded with rocks. The food was bad, they could do it better and the rooms weren’t clean enough. We had a bad experience and We won’t be back.
