Travel to the stoops of New York City’s northernmost borough with the doo-wop-fueled revival of the classic film A Bronx Tale. Set in the 1960s against a backdrop of racial strife and organized crime, this vibrant, streetwise musical tells the semi-autobiographical tale of Chazz Palminteri, a young man caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he wants to be. A story about respect, love, and, above all else, family, A Bronx Tale has been selling out tickets since its Broadway debut in 2016.
Mob bosses, family men, and wise-guy henchmen take the stage as the curtain comes up on A Bronx Tale: The Musical. Penned by Palminteri with catchy songs and jazzy choreography, the show follows Italian-American teenager Calogero as he tries to forge his future among the stoops, fire escapes, and city streets of The Bronx. Lured under the wing of charismatic mob boss Sonny, but torn by dedication to his hard-working father, Calogero is pitched into an up-tempo urban adventure that's all about love, loyalty, and finding your roots.
Under the co-direction of Robert de Niro and Jerry Zaks, A Bronx Tale opened at New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse in 2016 before moving on to Broadway later that year. The show continues to run at the Longacre Theater and, beginning in late 2018, will also tour North America. Grab tickets today to see this finger-snapping musical in cities such as Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Fort Lauderdale.
