Formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993, the Backstreet Boys have since gone down in history as one of the most successful music groups of the boy band era. Made up of Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, and Howie D., the band has released a total of 8 studio albums, been nominated for 7 Grammy Awards, and sold more than 130 million records, making them the best-selling American boy band of all time. With poppy hits such as “Quit Playin’ Games With My Heart,” “As Long As You Love Me,” “I Want It That Way,” and “Shape of My Heart,” BSB has maintained a loyal fan base who flock to their concerts today just as enthusiastically as they did in the 1990s. Through 2018, you can see the band perform live with tickets to their Larger Than Life residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas.
The Backstreet Boys first rose to international fame in 1996 with the release of their self-titled debut album. It quickly climbed up the worldwide charts and became one of the most successful debut albums of all time. They released their third album, Millennium, in 1999, which entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 and catapulted them into absolute superstardom. Following 2000’s Black & Blue, the Backstreet Boys took a 2-year hiatus before coming back together to work on Never Gone, a comeback album released in 2005. After the Never Gone Tour, Kevin Richardson opted to leave the group to pursue other interests, but BSB continued to release 2 more records as a quartet. Richardson rejoined the group in 2012, just in time to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary. Since then, they have put out their eighth studio album, In a World Like This, released the documentary Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Catch them in 2018 during their Las Vegas Residency or grab tickets to see the group perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles.
